Together We Can Move Mountains

Texas Blood Institute is looking for blood donors to make a life-saving difference for their friends and neighbors.  Limited edition “Together We Can Move Mountains” t-shirts will be available throughout the fall.

Anyone who is healthy and 16 years old* or older can make a life-saving difference for patients in local hospitals by giving blood.

“Every two seconds, someone needs blood,” said Daren Coats, regional vice president of Texas Blood Institute, “All it takes is about an hour of your time to save the lives of up to three patients facing trauma or ongoing treatment at our local hospitals.”

Appointments to give blood are not required but can be made by clicking here to search for blood drives in your area or calling (877) 340-8777.

Or you can stop our donor center in Wichita Falls.

Texas Blood Institute relies solely on volunteer blood donors to meet the needs of patients at all major hospitals in the Texoma region.  There is no substitute for blood, and the donation process takes about an hour.  Blood can be donated every 56 days.  Platelets can be given as often as every seven days, up to 24 times a year.

Health screenings and Donor Rewards points, redeemable for gift cards and apparel in Texas Blood Institute’s online store, are also provided to donors.  If donors opt not to take the t-shirt, funds will be donated to Global Blood Fund, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization helping secure supplies and bloodmobiles for blood centers in developing countries.
